Our school

Berlin is the most important city of Germany with a population of 3.5 million inhabitants. Berlin is famous for being a metropolis but also for its modern architecture : The Potsdamer Platz Ambassy of Berlin and the new central station but also for its historial part with the Nicolai zone, the Unter den linden boulevard with the Brandeburg Gate and the classical Alexanderplatz with the highest building of Germany.

The language school is near the city center in "Berlin Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg". All the classrooms have a warm atmosphere with a modern equipment. A group of very experienced teachers gives lessons and help thanks to a daily communication with the students.

Courses for students

Accomodation

- In host family (age 16-22): Students will be accommodated in selected host families living in Berlin, sharing a double room with a student of another nationality. Single rooms on request with an additional charge.Students will have breafast and dinner in the host family. Weekdays lunch takes place in a canteen at school. Weekends packed lunch is provided by host family. Living in a host family is is the best way of getting an insight in German culture and tradition as well as learing the German language.

- In Residence (age 15-22)In our residence the student will share a multiple bedroon with an en-suite facilities with students of his age group from all over the world. Single and double rooms are available on request (extra charge). The residence is situated in Berlin Mitte, only a stone throw from the River Spree and midway between Alexander Platz and Ostbahnhof.

The formula will be available on Sunday from 14:00 to 22:00 and on the departure Saturday after the breakfast between 08:00 and 11:00. If you arrive too early or leave too late, the additional charge is 15 €.

- All the students must use the public transports for their different routes.

Activities

Activities for one week (organized and supervised by our local person in charge)

- Daily activities for the afternoons and evenings. Cultural visit of Berlin : for instance sightseeing tour, government district, Nikolai district, the Technic museum, Reichstag, Wall Memorial and the East Side Gallery, the Olympic Stadium.

- Every monday a new program "New in Berlin Tour" goes from Alexanderplatz to Unter den Linden then to the Brandeburg gate and Reichstag, for all new student who begin with the program.

- Sport activities in the week for instance : beach volley, climbing wall, bowling, squash, football, badminton, Weistraensee, Badeschiff.

- Every saturday : full day excursion in Berlin or in Potsdam, Spreewald.

- 1 get-together evening

- Chill out sunday

Accommodation

- Full board formula in host families,

- Possibility of staying in a youth hostel or in a hotel (on request),

- Arrival on sunday from 14:00 to 22:00 and departure on saturday after the breakfast from 08:00 to 11:00. If you arrive before or leave after, the additional charge is 15 €.

Registration

Program:

For Students 15-22 :

Intensive course 20 lessons / week (1 lesson = 45 min)

Intensive plus course 20 lessons / week (1 lesson = 45 min) + 2 one to one lessons per week

Given by experienced and skilled German teachers. A max. of 15 students in every class. The average number of students is 12. The lessons are given in the morning fro monday to friday except holidays and the excursion days. Level test on the first day to determine the level of the student and a certificate is given at the end of the stay. We offer at least 4 levels in multinational classes : inferior intermediary (A2), intermediary (B1), sperior intermediary (B2) and advanced (C1). At least one year of study of the language is compulsory. Beginners are not accepted.

For adults :

Intensive courses 20 lessons / week (little groups of 10 students max.)

The courses always begin on a monday except during christmas break. The beginners are allowed on specific arrival dates. 1 lesson = 45 min. Level test on the first day to determine to right level. A certificate is given at the end of the stay. The levels are from A1 to C1.

Summer courses 20 lessons/week (from 25th June to 24th August)

In addition to the 20 lessons of the week, during this period, lots of cultural activities and touristic visits are offered by the school in order to make sure that the students have a great experience. The activities are the following : tour - in bus, in boat or in bike, Berlin wall excursion, the Wall museum, the Stase museum, a trip to Reichstag (the Parlement building), the Brandeburg gate and the Hebrew museum. The entrance tickets are not included.
