Biarritz
Biarritz is an attractive cosmopolitan city on the atlantic coast in the heart of the Basque region. This region has a strong cultural identity who has succedeed in keeping its traditions and way of life. Truly called "Surf capital of Europe", famous for an international level for its beaches and incredible waves, it is one of the best meeting point of surfers of the entire world. This jewel of the Atlantic coasts has a unique charm, life and atmosphere. The city offers with its numerous shops, surfers meetings, bars, restaurants... a meridional atmosphere which made of Biarritz a big competitor of the French riviera.
Our school
Next to the city center (20 min. walk and 10 min. bike) and to the station and airport, the school staff welcome you in a spacious and modern palace of the 70s. 15 luminous classrooms with air conditioning. Internet room and classrooms for student use during the day.
Activities
The activities are not included in the program
Accommodation
In families, in a single room (for adults), self catering during the week and full board in the week-end. All families live in Bayonne, Anglet, Biarritz and near to the school. Arrival on sunday and departure on saturday. In July and August, a double room can be offered according to the disponibility with another student (of different nationality).
For the students under 18, the accommodation is in a double room in full board (with picnic).

Program
A very accessible internship, studious and sporting in the same time, in a city really influenced by the "surf spirit" offers :
- a high quality instruction with experienced and graduated teachers,
- all teaching materials,
- personal work of about 1h every day,
- a guided tour of the city,
- a french film every week at school,
- assistance 24/24 7/7 in case of emergency,
- a free transfer between the station and the airport with an accomodation in a family,
- an internship certificate delivered by the school,
Surf lessons
- Lessons adjusted to the skills and needs of the participants,
- Groups : Groups of maximum 8 participants per teacher,
- Place : Famous beach of the Cote des Basques in Biarritz (5min walk from the city center). Beach which offers a variety of waves adjusted to different levels. Sometimes, the lesson is given in other places of the region according to the weather conditions (the school surf takes care of the transport),
- Equipment : supplied by the school (full equipment or short and surfboard),
- Transport : the first day, a teacher will pick you up at school to take you to the course place. The following days, you will have to go alone (20min by bus).
French lessons
- Teaching of the common language in communication situations with a cultural approach,
- Development of the fundamental language skills (written and oral expressions/ written and oral communication/ interpersonal communication),
- Communication techniques which combine the personal progresses and the groupe dynamics (collective works, role games...)
Small groups insure a more important participation, a real group dynamics and a personal support from teachers.
