WHY AU PAIR ?
An au pair (a young man or woman) is hosted by a family
abroad to learn a language. It is the best way to get to know another culture
and learn the language at a low cost. The au pair lives for up to 1 year in a
family and helps with the children. Families are personally interviewed.
This
helps to ensure the au pair a safe comfortable home and a successful stay.
• REQUIREMENTS :
- Age from 18 to 27
- A liking
for children, knowing how to look after them and keep them occupied (references
must be supplied)
- Good health
- Available from 6(from January) e 10
months (from September), or 2-4 months for the summer period (depending of the
country)
- Little household tasks and those that involve looking after the
children
- Previous knoweldge of the country's language
• CONDITIONS
:
- Full board with room
- 5 to 8 hours of work depending on
agreement prior to departure (around 30 hours to 40 hours per week, 2-3 evenings
of baby sitting)
- 71 to 84 euro per week in Italy
- The hosting family
has to pay for public transport
- Opportunity to attend a language course
during the school year
• REGISTRATION FEE :
The
appliction has to be sent to the agency 8 weeks before departure.
• COST :
Registration fees (includes registration, file processing
by our office, continuous available assistance and the charges for supplying a
host family) + travel.
